What the office is
BCCI describes a trade representation office as a non-juridical entity that cannot carry out economic activities. Confirm that representation, rather than local trading, matches the intended work.
Correct the company-history assumption
BCCI’s 2025 registration checklist requests turnover evidence for each of the preceding two calendar years. The previous version of this article incorrectly described one qualifying year out of two. Have the current checklist applied to the company’s filed records.
The checklist also addresses tax compliance, authority to represent the company and planned activities. Registration and a residence decision are separate processes; obtaining one does not guarantee the other.
